It's been a wonderful day. First, a lady pulls right out in front of me, causing me to have to slam on my brakes, waking up DS, who had JUST stopped screaming and fallen asleep. So more screaming. Awesome.
Then, literally 20, I'm not kidding, 20 people stopped me at the store to say how ingenious my rebozo is. Um, it's just a wrap people. Get over it. I needed 5 things, and it took almost an hour and a half to get everything, especially when I had 4 WIC checks, and the check machine wasn't working. Nothing like having to walk the cashier through what to do (it's where I used to work) while people I know keep coming up to talk about the baby.
And then, I had to call our insurance because they put the wrong clinic on DS's insurance, and if I didn't call and have it fixed, the clinic would have had to charge me for each visit SINCE HE WAS BORN. As I'm on the phone with that lady, I open a bill from the hospital affiliated with the clinic, and it's for $1433 from 4/8-4/11, when we were in the hospital. Best thing? It's addressed to my son. My 5-week old. Insurance has no record of ever being billed.
So, I call the hospital. I tell the lady "Um, I don't know why you charged my 5-week-old $1433, but he can't pay it." She then tells me "Oh, yes. We didn't think he had insurance. We'll send that bill to them now." What? He's covered under my insurance for the first 30 days of his life., and they know that.
And now there is flash flooding on my porch. Like, 2 or 3 inches of water on.my.porch.
It's been a wonderful day. I need a drink.

DS is asleep, so I was going to have a small glass of wine and take a bubble bath...Except I drank the last of my wine last night...so I'll have a beer when BF gets home.
