"newborn hands"

I went to the dermatologist today on recomendation from my rheumatologist. My autoimmune disease that was blissfully put unto remission by pregnancy is starting to flare. I thought a new symptom is severe hand cracking and hand peeling. the dermatologist says that while my skin is more sensitive from the ai disease it is probably a combination of that and "newborn hands" from more frequent hand washing, wipes and chemicals in the diapers. We have been playing at cloth diapering but now we are going 100%. Because if it can make my hands crack and bleed and cause crazy pain what will it do to his bum!

Re: "newborn hands"

  • My husband has eczema and he defiantely has the "newborn hands".  His poor hands are so cracked.  He uses my stretchmark lotion which seems to help.
