I am thinking about going back to. I have already went through Firefighter and Medic school, but kinda want to do nursing now that I have the other 2 outta the way. With Marissa being here, I don't think I will be going into burning buildings anytime soon anymore? But, I do love being a Firefighter/Medic

Good Luck to both of you!!
My SIL just finished nursing school, and she was a former paramedic. She works in an ER, in Chicago, and absolutely loves it.
I could own a nice suburban house with the amount of loans that I incurred in law school. Just think that the income after it will be well worth it, and there are often loan forgiveness programs if you practice in certain areas. Also, once you actually get in the process you will be motivated, and then once you are in it and lose motivation some you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. I say go for it!
I say go for it! Do you know what you'd be interested in? Not all programs take 7 years (of school/loans). You will probably regret not doing it later in life!
Oh, I'll still working. My company pays 90% tuition reimbursement.
For this reason, Joe is contemplating going back to school for his Masters- the only problem is that we would NEVER see him.
Dan got his MBA from Xavier (thanks to that sweet reimbursement program) - it took him 6 years, he only took one class at a time b/c he was working full time. Some classes were more time consuming than others but it wasn't that bad really. Class 1 night a week and he would study/do projects a few nights a week.
He had an education undergrad so he did have to take some add'l business courses. Given that X is a top notch school (esp for MBA) and there is no way we could afford a private school grad tuition without the reimbursement, it was a no brainer for him. He finished last summer right before Jackson came along
I secretly want to be a PA really badly. I bailed on it during my undergrad and occasionally regret it.
They have fast programs for it from 2-5 yrs. and it is sooooo tempting. One of my Bff's became one instead, her whole class had jobs before they graduated and not that $$$ is everything, but she is doing quiet well for herself.
Do it! I think I might be going back to school in the fall. You should, too!
What are you going back for? 7 years until I would be working again tho... that's a long time!
April....if you are serious you should consider physician assistant or nurse practitioner. More flexibility with working hours than an MD!!!
Or a Nurse Anesthetist. I was pre med and switched to nursing because I did not want to be married to a pager. Best decision ever. BUT, there are pleny of MD specialties that allow you to be pager free these days.
DO IT! Chase that dream! What is 7 years, really? You will be 7 years older whether you do it or you don't. I had the same reservations about entering grad school at 30. I have no regrets today. Chase that fantastic dream you have. You will do great things.

My coworkers and I were just talking the other day about how a nurse anesthetist seems like one of those perfect jobs.
Wow thanks everyone for the support! You girls are awesome. I am talking about it with DH and trying to figure out what we would have to do to make this happen.
I have thought about being a PA as well. Kettering has a PA program thats only 2 years! How cool would that be? Xavier has a MSN program thats 2 years as well and then I can go to the CRNA program at UC. Unfortuntely we would have to down grade our house until I am back working. But I am really wanting to do something.
I just dont want to go to PA school and regret not going to med school.... Any thoughts about that?
