Well, that was stupid of me...

DH is working late and I planned a somewhat complicated dinner.  Stupid.  It's the worst feeling when I spend time making something only to have five minutes to enjoy it because I'm breaking up a fight or telling the girls not to spit :|  

And then I have to do the dishes.   

Man, I really should have thought of a better meal for today   :/

    Can you scrap it? I refuse to cook real meals when DH is not home to eat them, the kids get baked chicken with veggies and fruit or eggs or somethign and I get a salad or something quick

    It's a produce-heavy meal w/ okra which they say you should eat the day of...but it's already been two :(  It'll be fine.  Truly, just a stupid thing- I won't make the same mistake again... :)

    DH would have invited himself over -- he loves okra and I never make it.  Hope you have time to enjoy some alone after the kids go to bed!
