My RE gave me a bloodtest yesterday to confirm I was back at 0 HCG. Since I was and I started bleeding he is going to let me start Femara right away. I just picked up the Rx. So I will start tomorrow on CD 3. My u/s is scheduled for next Friday. Eek! So, any tips or pointers I need to know about Femara or Ovidrel?

Re: Femara and TI
Femara was so much better than clomid for me. I had almost zero side effects from the femara, and my lining was much better.
As Jenny said the ovidrel shot didn't hurt at all, and I really didn't notice any side effects from it either.

I agree, I also liked Femara much better than Clomid. I didn't really have any s/e on Femara. I would recommend taking it at night.
I didn't have Ovidrel, but I had a Novarel trigger. THe injection site was a little sore that day but otherwise no big deal. It did seem to decrease my appetite a little, but that could just be because I was nervous about my first IUI. I'm continuing Novarel injections every 3 days and so far they have been really easy (I have to give myself the injection).
Good luck!

I've taken Femara in Feb and March, and didn't notice any side effects. All I can think of is that I gained a few pounds both times, but both times I peed away the pounds at some point during AF and was back to normal the next month. I seem to gain water weight just looking at a hormone.
I'm a weird one to compare it to Clomid, because I had the weirdest reaction to Clomid-- I was always in an impossibly amazing mood, super frisky all day every day, and my face cleared up for the first time since adolescence (and I was 38 when I was taking it!). So since none of those amazing things happened to me on Femara, I'd have to rate it lower than Clomid. But Femara was just fine.
