I have been craving my usual sub from JJ's (the #16 - turkey and bacon) so incredibly badly. I'm (perhaps irrationally, depending on your point of view) avoiding deli meats, but I had to do something to try and satisfy the craving. I decided on the Gourmet Veggie sub [ETA: without sprouts], but with bacon. So. Good. I think I can live with this until December.
Re: Jimmy John's Craving...
If you bring the sub home, pick off the turkey and fry it on a frying pan for a minute or two (to cook off any bacteria), you're all good! I know it's not the same, but who knows, it could be even better
YES! oh my gosh...I usually get the california one with turkey etc etc, but I got the veggie and LOVED it!!! Now I've been craving them ever since! I seriously adore their wheat bread too!!!
Go Jimmy John's! geez, now I want one!
This is true. I probably should have mentioned that I got mine without sprouts. Just as good, though!
A new JJ's opened 3 minutes from our house. Delivery takes about 6 minutes from the time I hang up the phone for the food to hit our front door. Freakishly FAST!! My doc explained that due to the recent "internet craze" he recommends heating up deli. Then he added the risk is SUPER low, and you do more danger to yourself and your baby by talking on your cell or texting while driving.
I love the Vito. It is one of the few meat type foods that ever sounds good, so when I have a craving for it I get it. Add hots to that and damn - we're in business.
And no sprouts?? I had never heard that. One more thing I love on the naughty list
