Awhile ago there was a post in which you lovely ladies helped a MOH write her speech. Well I'm up for bat on Saturday. Any advice you guys remember giving OP about what to say in her speech?
Thanks!

I was MOH for my sister. I kept it light and funny. People are good moods and the drinks are flowing, its easy to make them laugh
I talked about why they were perfect for each other and that I knew they would be happy. I kept it short, only a few minutes.
My sister has been MOH twice and her speeches were awesome. Her first was for her best friend and she talked about how alike the bride and groom were, they were perfect for each other. (seeing a trend here? lol)
For my wedding, she talked about my first crush. And she embarrassed the crap out of me by telling stories from when I was in 5th grade. And then she compared it to my 'last' crush, my DH. And why we were perfect for each other...
Keep it light, tell a funny story, wish them luck. That's all there is to it. Good luck

My MOH's speech was really sweet (she borrowed the idea from my card I wrote her at the rehearsal dinner). Not sure how long you've know the bride, but my MOH talked about how she has been with me for so many of my "firsts" (love, kiss, heartbreak, car, prom/dance, etc), then ended it with saying it is the first time she's seen me truly happy thanks to my DH. It was perfect.
