We have two cameras. It works great for us! In the early days I had a Sony Babycall in DS's room too (so that I could have the camera on DD and still hear DS). But now I just use the video monitor and the Sony is put away. If you don't already have a sound-only monitor I wouldn't bother. We had gotten the Sony as a baby shower gift for DD and replaced it with the video monitor when she started trying to climb out of her crib. Since we had it lying around - we used it. If we hadn't had it, we would have been totally fine.

We have the complete coverage system (the one with the color handheld viewer and then the 7" flat screen)...we bought a 2nd camera and it works well. I keep the video on DS since he's younger, plus DD's room is in between his and ours, so I can hear her anyway. If I hear her, I'll switch to her for a few min to see waht she's doing...then switch back to DS

I have the slim and secure one that scans up to 4 cameras. I love it,but im on my second one and the handheld button to see the screen is acting up and sticking again. I think its great though, since you can see and hear both kid every 8 seconds. I couldn do it any other way since my kids rooms are not that close to my room.

That said, I think the monitor for sound sucks. I've never been able to use it for sound because it's too staticy and spazzes out and makes loud zapping noises every few minutes. It's not a huge deal because I use our old FP sound-only monitor if I need one for sound...otherwise, I just use this one to do a quick check before I head to bed, or if I hear a noise and want to check in on one of them...

Mine makes those zapping noises too! It is so annoying. I only have one camera in use, and I just use it with the sound off.

the old style analogue ones are horrible, teh digital ones are great. We sold ours and got a digital one with an extra camera.

Re: Who has the Summer Infant Video Monitor with two cameras??
We are about to order our 2nd camera. Love the first one for our toddler. Glad to see other have enjoyed it.
Question: Do you have a sound monitor in one of the room too? I don't think you can hear both rooms at the same time.
