Soar pubic area?

Hopefully I don't forget to ask DR about next week- but, my pubic bone feels really soar, tender and puffy. Could it be the extra blood volume or what?  THe ligaments around my groin are also tender and hurt my legs when i do certain movements. Wonderin if anyone else has this issue and what they've been told about it.

  • Does it feel like a bolt of lightning striking through your cervix/vagina? if so, it's lightening crotch  It's more related to nerve pain than to RLP and that does sound like what you experienced. If it comes on suddenly out of nowhere and makes you yelp out loud it's probably lightning crotch.

To me it sounds like pubic symphysis pain.  I have it when I enter/exit the car, stand/sit, roll in bed, and sometimes when I walk.  I've had it for over 6wks now.  I mentioned it to my Dr. at my last checkup, and all he said was that the ligaments are stretching and unfortunately, it's just my body prepping itself for birth.  :/  I'm chalking it up to just having to deal with it until the end.

  • If it feels swollen all the time, it also could be vericose veins in your labia.  Lovely, huh?  My dr said those will go away after birth, and that wearing support underwear (like butt lifting underwear from Vic Secrets) might help make it a little more comfortable.

I'm only teasing but when I read your post I could only think of a soaring eagle

So naturally I made this to represent what I thought of. Wink

To get back to the topic, I get lightning crotch every now and then. Bring it up to your doctor but what you're experiencing sounds normal.

Hard to tell what you're describing but if it is you symphis pubis (a little bone in the front of your pelvis) then I'd try seeing a chiropractor. I had/have accute symphis pubis dysfunction and by seeing a chiropractor once a week I can walk etc with very little pain- prior to the chiro, I couldn't walk for 4 days straight.
