How do you get through the work day?

I need your tips, tricks, etc that help you make it through the work day.  I am feeling awful today - so nauseous, exhausted, etc.  I had a really bad night's sleep last night due to not feeling well.  Therefore, today has been a struggle, and I don't know how I am going to get through the day.  I've been munching on animal crackers hoping that would help my stomach - no luck yet.  I feel like I'm about to vomit, and I have several meetings this afternoon.  Any advice?

  • Try Ginger, chamomile or peppermint tea. Don't be afraid of some caffeine to help the exhaustion. GL!!

  • Ginger Ale or Sprite....Preggie Pops and recently, I found an amazing ginger granola from Whole Foods and it's awesome (especially with the ginger ale). I just eat it without anything as a snack and in yogurt when I'm feeling a little better.

  • Guess we posted at the exact same time :)  Animal crackers have actually helped me a lot - I've been having a little m/s around 3:00 every day and the animal crackers have been awesome.  I also just saw cheezits in the vending machine - sounds really good to me right now.  Good luck!

  • Zofran is a lifesaver. Not sure if you're trying to do all natural, but I plan to get a prescription the second m/s kicks in

  • Gingerale and frequent snacks. I find if I go too long between meal/snack my stomach is starting to get upset.

  • Phew. My first wave of morning sickness hit this morning while in the shower. One minute I was FINE...next minute...BOOM. Had to jump out soaking wet, and go sit by the toilet.  Never lifted the lid as I was sure that would seal the deal. Never had this during my first pregnancy...hoping this was just a fluke.  If I have more mornings of feeling this way...I'm going to try the B6/Unisom combo.  Heard that does amazing things.  If that doesn't work...sign me up for the Zofran.  I'm a HUGE wuss when it comes to feeling pukey.

  • To be honest the best thing for the exhaustion I found was taking a walk on my lunch break.  And on the days I exercise I feel MUCH better regarding nausea and exhaustion both.  But now I am only taking 30 mn lunches in my 10 hour work day and I'm really really struggling, too.

but other than PP's suggestions, which are all good, I'd see if you can squeeze in a 15mn minimum walk.
