humidifer question

What does yours rest on?  We had it on the carpet at first and it left the area fairly wet the next morning.  So then we moved it onto a plastic bin that houses clothes that DS has grown out of only to have that bleed moisture to the inside of the bin.  Ay yi yi- I'm thinking it shouldn't be this difficult.  Alas, tonite, we just put a bath towel down on the carpet and placed it on top- here's hoping this works.  Curious- WDYD?

    Maybe it's your humidifier? We have the frog one from target and it's great. It sits on the top shelf in the bedroom- about 5.5 feet up. It's never left any kind of moisture. We just keep it adjusted so the steam goes up and into the air. If it's turned way up, there's too much coming out and the moisture just falls down. I've had humidifiers that did what yours does.

    we have it sitting on a wash cloth on her bookcase. i says on the bottom of ours that it has to be at least 2 ft off the ground.

    Hmmm I think you're onto something....I think we may have had it turned up too high.  Going to try reducing it tonite.  Thanks!

    We put ours on an upside-down plastic laundry basket.  Not the most elegant-looking solution, but our house looks like baby gear exploded all over it anyway.  :)
