Oh joy, right?
Almost 32 weeks pregnant. The procardia wasn't doing it's job last night and I had contractions 5 minutes apart for three hours so in we went. Poor C had to get out of bed at 11:30 and looked at DH and I like "what? I am sooooo sleepy!". I went from a fingertip/1cm on Monday to a "good 2cm" last night. I didn't even listen if I was effaced, I was too upset. They gave me a shot of terb and it stopped them and I was released home. So today I have to call the office and see what we do from here.
I'm keeping my legs crossed and I haven't been doing anything. Poor DH has to do it all. We don't have anyone we can call for things like that either- you know to just come stay at the apartment while I go to L&D so poor C doesn't have to go. He works, comes home, takes care of the apartment, me and C. He's such a good husband and father and I HATE that my body won't work.
So this weekend I am having my parents come up to help out with C if nothing else. They adore her and love being around her and my mom will be so worried I am going to drop Calvin any second.
So- anyone have any ideas on how to keep a little guy put for five more weeks (at least!)???
Re: Had to make my 1st L&D trip last night
((Hugs to you)) - (not squeezing too hard...)
I can tell you, take it easy, relax, all that jazz, but with little C, I know that's hard to do. I'm glad that you'll be reaching out to your parents to come up and help.
That's scary and I hope that Calvin decides that it's really cozy in there and he wants to stay just a little longer.
Keep us posted after you talk to your doc today.
I wish there was something I could do to help...
I' sorry you had to make that trip
Hope everything settles down for a couple more weeks for you
My in law's live within 5 mins of us but I still flew my sister into town for when I delivered DD because it was winter and my MIL doesn't drive in the snow
It sucks sometimes when our family aren't close enough.
I go to the doctor tomorrow around 1 to get checked. I figure if this goes anything like last time if I have progressed they will probably send me to antepartum for the weekend to try and get things under control. If I haven't progressed I'll probably go in Monday for my scheduled appointment and get checked again.
The nurse just said to keep taking the procardia, call if I have contractions, rest, keep my legs up and drink lots of fluids. I've had some contractions today but nothing timeable and I keep taking the procardia hoping it's working.
I am just such a mess today. I am really desperate for SOMETHING good.
I also just found out my aunt that I am really close to may have had a stroke or something- they are sending her to the neurologist right now cause her speech is slurred, she is drooling and her handwriting suddenly changed.
Off to cry and sleep while Cerys naps.
