I know that tomorrow, at my OB appt, they will suggest scheduling an induction. I'm going to tell them that I'm happy to schedule it for 41w4d and not before. I'm 38 weeks today.
That said, I've been 0% effaced, 0 cm dilated with mild, inconsistent contractions for days. This is my first child. Is there any chance I can progress from 0 to labor without intervention in that time period? I'm beginning to feel like my little girl will never want to leave. She's down low (dropped) and pushing on my cervix for weeks. Contractions just started in the last week. I spent 5 hours in L&D on Sunday because I fell at work, onto my belly, and contractions were pretty good on the Toco. Baby was fine and no fluid leaks were noted.
I guess I'm just looking for someone to make me feel like I won't have to be induced to see my LO.
Thanks!

Agreed to this, we didn't touch the subject until my 39 week appt, when I was 39w3d. You are only 38 weeks (I know thats painful to hear when you feel so DONE), so plenty can change between now and what will essentially 41 weeks. Relax momma.
My doctor mentioned it at my 39w appointment but prefers not to induce until 41w. I'm measuring large which is why he would induce me at 41w. I wouldn't worry about it!
