how long was your line to vote?

i had to park half a mile away and wait in line with baby in the bjorn and my  8 year old for 1.5 hours and then on the walk back to the car it was raining - baby slept the whole time and evan was patient, whew! when we were in the back of the line my husband walked out, having just voted on his break. i was so jealous. my feet hurt. totally worth it. go obama!

  • 50 minutes. In DC. At 7am.
  • There was no line at my polling place - I parked, walked in,signed in, voted and left in 5 minutes! I love living in the suburbs!
  • Oh wow. I waited about 5 minutes total but went at 11am when they said it would likely be a slow time. My husband was in line at 7am and he was 9th. When he came out, there were about 50 people in line behind him. Sorry you had to do all of that and in the rain!?

  • No line whatsoever.
  • I waited an hour in line. Then another 15 mins because they couldn't find my name on the list under my married name. The idiots still had me under my maiden name even though I changed it through the DMV and change my voter info the same day. I thought I wasn't going to get to vote. I was almost on the edge of tears.
  • No line

  • wow! i'm surprised. jc- like i said, totally worth it! it kind of sucked but i was expecting it and i'm glad it waited to rain after standing in line all that time and not during.
  • in Central Louisiana, the line was about 45 minutes long at 9 AM.  I figured I'd give the people that work a chance to go vote in the early morning so I went when they'd all be at work!

I put DD in her stroller so I didn't have to hold her the whole time!

I didn't have a line, but they somehow had my name under my maiden name. I've been married 5 years, changed it at the DMV AND have voted under my married name since.  go figure.  Fortunately, we're in MN, and we can register the same day, so I wasn't worried.
