Postpartum migraines

Has anyone had to deal with postpartum migraines? While pregnant with K, I was having migraines 1-2 times a week. Now I'm up to as many as 5-6 times a week, I pretty much deal with them on a daily basis. My OB has given me hydrocodone to help with the pain and I plan on making a visit to my regular dr. But I was wondering if anyone has experienced this?

  • Sounds like you need a good adjustment from a chiropractor. Or could it be from the epidural? (If you had one, of course).

  • I get them but not as often anymore. I had them before I had babies though. Treximet is what works for me...I mean the narcotics do too but this doesn't make me feel as weird.

  • My migraines became much worse after my pregnancies.  See if you can get a referral to a neurologist.  A neuro can put you on meds to prevent migraines, as well as prescribe meds to deal with the migraines once they start.
