Internals & spotting.

Yes, I know this has been talked about until we're all blue in the face but I'll be honest in that I didn't pay a heck of a lot of attention since I'm so far behind most of you.

If you spotted, how long did it last? I'm on 24+ hours and just wondering if that is somewhat the norm.

No cramping, no nada.

Completely and totally unacceptable. How could you even think to ask? Stick out tongue

Last week was my first internal. I spotted on and off for about 24 hours. I had my second one today and am still spotting, so I can't give you an idea about that. I would say that if it's heavy and you're concerned, call L&D. But if it tapers off soon, it sounds normal.

Last week was my first internal. I spotted on and off for about 24 hours. I had my second one today and am still spotting, so I can't give you an idea about that. I would say that if it's heavy and you're concerned, call L&D. But if it tapers off soon, it sounds normal.

I'm not worried since I expected it. I was just curious as to how long it actually lasts. It's kind of annoying

I've had 2 internals now and with both I had a light period flow for about 12 hours, and then spotting for 24 or so.

I had an internal last week and today and I have not experienced any cramping, spotting, or anything.

I had one today, (but she also tried to strip membranes) and I've had semi-heavy spotting for a few hours). She handed me one of the phonebook-like pads after, which was a little alarming. I would expect spotting to carry into tomorrow.

I had an internal on Monday and only had light spotting for about 12 hours, but I was so crampy all day. I don't want another one!

I started spotting (not after an internal though, just naturally?) the day I went into labor. In fact, that was a funny, I am calling the nurse and asking her "um, I am shedding clots here what do I do", and she was like "oh, are you having contractions", and I am all "Not timeable ones".

Exactly 1.5hr later, I was at L&D, with contractions every 2 mins. Yeaaaah.

Actually the first time I read this I must have misunderstood and thought you were questioning IF people were bleeding after their internals. lol. My bad....

After my first one I spotted for just a couple hours, but had cramps the rest of the day. After the second one, I spotted for almost a whole day with cramps for the next couple of days. My doc told me not to worry unless the spotting increases to a period-like flow.
