My Cervix Is The Talk Of The Town

Confused

People are driving me nuts! Everyone keeps asking how dilated I am, if Im effaced and if Im having contractions or feel pressure "down there". Seriously? I would never ask someone these things!

My mother even asked me if i was passing a lot of mucous or had a bloody show! TMI mom, definitely not talking to you about the contents of my panties!

People really do lose their filter when it comes to a pregnant woman. Egad...

Also Im getting pretty irked with everyones entitlement about my baby. Friends I havent spoken to since HS are saying I "better" let them know when I have her so they can visit. DFs adopted dad talks to us maybe once a month, hasnt bought a thing for the baby (he and his wife refused to attend the shower) and we rarely see him. But now that Im having the first grandbaby he thinks he will get LO a couple weekends a month?? Um no, we will visit you and when we leave LO will leave with us. Same for MIL, she also thinks that Saturdays wil be "MeMe" days where LO will stay with her all day. Again, no Saturday is DFs day off so it wll be our family day, its more important for us to spend time together as a family than for LO to see his crazy mother.

    Wow!  That's crazy...I would never dream of asking someone I wasn't extremely close to how their internal exams went.  I have only shared the details with a few people IRL, and have no idea how I would respond if someone just outright asked me.  Even my own mother.  Some things are just better left unasked.

    I just don't understand why people expect me to share so much! I can't wait for that part to be over. I'm overdue and avoiding seeing/talking to people because I just don't want to have to discuss it anymore with people I hardly know.

    Hope you can work everything out with your family and you have the baby soon!

    lol-I feel your pain.  FI was on the phone updating his dad after our appointment this morning and was giving him the full lowdown on my cervix.  I couldn't help but laugh and tell FI how funny it sounded to hear him talking, in depth, about something inside of my vagina to his father. Confused
