Explanation:
DH and I just concluded that it's time to begin "trying" (more like not preventing) for baby #2. My period has been all over the place since DD was born (sometimes my cycle is 38 days, other times it's 15 days) and I never know when to expect it.
Question:
Anyone else have wonky periods when TTC? - If so, how did you handle the never knowing whether "this is just one of those months where I will be super late" thoughts vs the "could I be pregnant" thoughts? I have a feeling I'm going to be a rollercoaster with those.
Re: TTC with a wonky Aunt Flo?
I would recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" It teaches you how to read the signs of ovulation and be better in touch with your cycle.
I know it sounds hippie-ish but it's actually really good.
I have no advice, just amazed that you have the energy to think about #2
I've heard of that book - I'll have to check if our library has it. Even if it was hippie-ish, I wouldn't mind too much. I would say DH and I are more on the hippie end of things anyways.
I did just hear about that website today actually, so I'll check it out. I didn't plan on doing any temping or testing, thought maybe I would do the CM checks, because like I said, we're kind of just "not preventing" more than anything. The thought of just waiting around with no concept of "when" is just exhausting to think about... Maybe I should do some more regulation to take that edge off. Lol
Lol, DD has been such an easy baby. I've been ready for 6 months already, DH has been the one that was hard to convince. I need more of a challenge.
