Hey Ladies,

I am a first time expectant mother in week 5. We found out last Thursday that we were expecting and are very excited. It is still not quite real feeling to me yet and part of me is super nervous and skeptical since I havent been to the doctor yet. I have taken two HPT so far and just feel surreal in the situation. I am excited to get to know some of you expectant mothers on here through our journeys. My expected due date is 1/18/12 and my first ultrasound/ob appt is 06/09/11. We have not told anyone yet and are waiting until after the appointment. Actually we have dinner planned with both sets of parents on that Saturday to share the good news with them! Since I am so new to this I am enjoying reading all the posts! But boy is this the HARDEST secret I have ever had to keep!

Congratulations and welcome to the board. I know this group of ladies has been a great resource to me as I've become of a mom. The whole process is surreal, at least for me. There's a little person growing inside you. It's truly this amazing miracle. Enjoy every minute of your pregnancy - take your time to daydream, talk, and sing to your LO while they are inside. Take a lot of time to do with DH all the things that will be harder to do when your LO arrives. And try not to stress too much.
