Long story, short. Went into labor yesterday
morning a little after 6am, two days before my due date and schedule
repeat c/s, and he was here 13 hours later. 8lbs, 9oz, 20in., and a
little happy and healthy snugglebug. I got to VBAC, against my OBs wishes (see previous posts) and it was amazing! Got to see him come out in the mirror and had him
put on my chest immediately. A complete night and day experience from
my first son, who was an emergency c/s under general anesthesia. Also,
my H got to be there this time (wasn't allowed in OR for first birth),
and got to cut the cord. It was such an awesome experience. I feel
great and will be going home tomorrow already. Also, the OB who delivered him was the same one so against me having a VBAC because of his estimated high weight and my supposed high risk of shoulder dystocia. When he slid right out at the end, she said - wow, his shoulders weren't a problem at all - and to think that I almost got bullied into a rcs for it! It was extremely satisfying to say the least!

Re: Had my baby last night!
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
Thanks everyone!
My first was 7lbs, 13oz., but also born almost 2 weeks later than DS#2. So this baby is definitely a good bit bigger than my first son was.
I love this VBAC story! Congratulations - you must be just thrilled!
I also had my DS1 by c-sec under general & it sucked! I bet it feels just amazing to go through it awake & not have to deal with a day of being drugged up afterwards!
Wow! That's great!
Why did they think you were a high risk for shoulder dystocia? Only because they thought he would be big?
