So, first an update on Lilith. As many of you know, Lilith came home about 2 weeks ago with a g-tube, trach oxygen, and pulse-ox monitor. Since she has been home we have been slowly condensing her feeds so that she is getting 66 ml, every three hours, through her g-tube. We reached that day yesterday. We also have been slowly working on her oral feeding. Up until yesterday, we were giving her only 2 bottles a day. Well, yesterday we decided to give her a bottle each time she was awake for a feed. At 9am she took 52 ML by mouth, at 3pm she took 20 ML, and at 9pm she took 66ML (her entire feed)! She also spent 3 hours yesterday off of her oxygen. She is doing so well, and we are so proud of her!
Second, it's our 3 year anniversary today! My parents have agreed to watch Lilith for several hours tonight while we celebrate. But, we have no clue what to do! So, what are your favorite things to do for date night? Or is there anything in the area you would recommend? Living above the 275 belt-loop all my life, I don't know much about what the city has to offer. Thanks so much!
Re: AW and Question: Lilith and Anniversary
What great news to share! I'm so happy things are going well with her at home.
It sounds like you deserve this much needed evening out. A good date night for me includes a nice, long lingering meal. I just tried The Wine Guy Bistro in Rookwood this weekend. I highly recommend!
Happy Anniversary!
All of this!
I'm so glad to hear everything is going so well with Lilith! I'm sure it's such a relief to have some normalcy in your life.
I don't have any suggestions on where to go, but I agree with the idea of a nice, long meal so you can sit and talk without interruption. I hope you enjoy your time out together, and I hope things continue to look up!
