An acquaintance on fb posted a picture of her 3 yo little girl in a bikini and the caption read:
"My little hooch"
I just thought, if you say that about her at 3 yo and you are her mother, what will she allow others to say about her and what will this do to her self image.
Am I being ridiculous that I was taken aback by her comment?
Re: S/O Calling LO names...
Not appropriate at all!!
I don't even like it when DH calls K 'fussy-butt' or 'fuss-pot'.
Why the negative?
I would have to agree. Sexualizing a baby is not ok.
I felt guilty for calling LO a "stubborn little squirt" when I went past my due date. I had way too many negative, self-esteem crushing comments made to me as a child and adolescent to talk about LO like that.

I agree. I keep joking that my kid is like Stewie from Family Guy and that he's already plotting my demise, even from inside of me. LOL but of course I am joking. I would never dress a child in a bathing suit and call them a little slut or some other sexually degrading term.

we joked about that too! that is funny not crude.
OP your fb friend for one posting her child in a bikini is just weird to me and adding that caption just makes her klassy! to me that is just disturbing. I have fb friends that I do not KNOW all too well that I would not post anything like that esp with that caption or any sexually degrading term...
I am glad to know I am not the only one who thought it was wrong. Having a sense of humor is one thing but I just know that if she writes stuff like that she probably says it to her too. Like "oh look at mama's little hooch"
::Shudders:: It's just wrong!
