I'm reposting this from the October 2011 board. We thought you ladies would have better knowledge! TIA! -
For those of us who are not high risk and are being seen on a monthly
basis by our doctors/midwives/etc, when do the extra visits begin? I
remember my midwife telling me in the beginning that there comes a point
when they will see me at least twice a month, if not more. Does anyone
remember when that starts and how often we'll be seen?

I started every 2 weeks at 27 weeks
And will be starting my weekly appointments at 36weeks
Monthly till 26 weeks (sometimes 30 weeks), then bi-weekly after that till 35/37 weeks.
It really depends on your doctor, and your pregnancy. And it moves a bit.
I went in for my 36 week check up, and if it wasn't for my BP, he didn't want to see me for 2 weeks.
I went every 4 weeks during the beginning and I went in at 30 weeks, will be going in at 33 weeks, 35 weeks, then I switch doctors and am seen every week after 36.
(I am military, so thats the switch of doctors)
In both of my pregnancies, I started having my appointments every 2 weeks after 28 weeks. At 36 weeks, I'll start going every week until the baby arrives.
