No mistaking it...

...this baby is all boy! He was not shy at all during the ultrasound. We are super excited, and Lucas could not be happier to be having a little brother! I just can't wait to see how their relationship will be.

Question for moms of kids 3-4 years apart...did you find it was necessary to get a double stroller or one of those Sit n' Stand ones? Lucas hardly uses a stroller now, except when we're at the zoo or mall. But I was thinking it might be nice to have that option.

    So excited for you.

I adore my two boys, it's been an awesome thing to watch them become brothers.

    Congrats!

    YAY!

We haven't ventured any place too wild and crazy, but we opted to not get a sit and stand stroller.  DS prefers to walk so for us it was not worth the money.  The only place I worry about is the zoo....but again, we decided it wasn't worth the money for us.

  • Congrats!! So exciting. Although I'm sure having a little girl would be wonderful, I secretly want all boys... like 3 or 4 boys :)

  • Congrats, boys are lots of fun!

Ours are closer together (2.5 years) but we decided not to get a double stroller and we're doing just fine without it so far.  I've taken them to Target and Kroger's alone and just put them both in the cart.  I don't have any plans to take them out for a real shopping trip alone, that's too much stress to even bother with.  If I had to go somewhere alone and couldn't use a shopping cart I'd wear Levi and put Noah in the stoller...Levi hates his carseat anways so it works.  Noah prefers to walk at the zoo anyway so that hasn't been an issue yet either.

  • Congrats! Yeah for brothers! We opted to get a Sit N Stand stroller and honestly it was a waste of money, Isabelle was almost 3 when Oliver was born and she just never wanted to use the stroller, even at the zoo.  I just decided that if she got really tired at the zoo we'd just cut our trip short.  We found out that a carrier worked best for us.
  • FWIW,  We still use of SNS every single day. Jack, who will be 4 next month, still rides it it. It's been a great investment for us.

  • Congrats!!

I didn't get one, but we are good for errands without it, such as shopping and the grocery store.

I borrowed one from a nestie here for the zoo and it was super helpful once DS1 got tired.  It would've also been useful for the Airforce museum too.

Our reasoning on not getting a SNS/Double stoller was that DH & I would most likely be together where we'd need one for long periods of walking where Alex might get tired and we could just use an umbrella stroller and each be able to push one of the kids.  If you do a lot of activities on your own and DS1 isn't fond of walking, it might be a good investment.

  • Congrats Sarah!!  I'm sure Lucas will love having a little brother!

We are planning to get a sit and stand.  Ethan still uses the stroller often, but likes to get in and out at the zoo, Kings Island, etc.

  • Congratulations!! How exciting!

Our DD's are 3 years apart, and like previous posters, we decided not to get a double stroller. DD #1 prefers to walk if we're out and about, and we have the Graco Metrolite stroller that goes with the infant carseat available as well as a Chicco Capri umbrella stroller and a wagon for trips to the zoo, etc.
