AF question...

I'm 10 weeks pp. I have been breastfeeding and pumping pretty regularly until recently (I'm weaning off of it).  I started the mini-pill 4 weeks ago (so this week would be the week I should have AF).

I haven't gotten AF yet.  Is this normal, or should I be worried?!?!?!

What do you think?

Re: AF question...

  • My doctor told me that with the mini-pill I probably wouldn't have my period, especially with breastfeeding.  There are no inactive pills there, so I guess it makes sense.

  • I had a short period about 3 days last month after taking the mini pill for 2 wks.  This month AF is still a no show, and we know there's definately no bun in this oven.

BF can keep AF on a delayed flight.

  • I have been on the mini-pill since 4 weeks PP and EBF. I haven't had AF yet, and DD is 13 weeks.

  • You're lucky as far as I'm concerned!  I just got my first PP AF on Friday in addition to a cold...needless to say, I feel AWESOME!  It'll happen soon enough for you, I'm sure- it's nerve wracking not knowing when and such though- I totally get it!

  • I'm on the minipill and I still haven't gotten my period. Once you wean off of breastfeeding/pumping are you switching pills?

  • I have not had my AF and my little one is 13 weeks old, I am still pumping and not back on BC yet, my DR prescribed me the pill I was on before pregnant but I forgot to ask if I need to wait until my period to start them
