It's dh's b-day so we have a baby sitter and are going out to dinner after he gets off work. I've been trying to find something to wear for the last hour or more. I shaved my legs and painted my toenails thinking I'd wear a skirt, but nothing fits.

. I have a spare tire in my jeans, and my cute tops are all to short or tight. I don't even have a bra that's not a nursing bra for my deflated saggy boobs. He likes when I wear my hair down, but the ends are so dry and I'm in horrible need of new highlights. I just look trashy. Not sexy. Boohoo me.

Re: Big fat FAIL at feeling sexy :(
::::hugs::::
He'll probably be excited enough that I shaved my legs and got him beer. I won't have time to stop anywhere before hand. However, I've asked my friend that's watching W if she can try fixing up my hair. She's good at that stuff.
Thanks for the support ladies. I've got on a pair of nice jeans and a light sweater, even though I just feel like going in baggy pants and dh's hoodie with my hair in a pony tail.
Have a great time and I'm sure he'll be drooling at the sight of you.
(((hugs)))
I thought you looked great last time we met up M! I'm sure your H thinks you look amazing, and will be wowed by you no matter what you decide to wear. I hope you have a great time tonight!

We have all felt that way. Heck, my baby is 2 and I had to start exercising like a fiend in order to be able to fit into my clothes (and I still feel like I look like crap 99% of the time).
I am sure you look fantastic, and I am sure that your husband will be so happy just to spend some time with you sans baby scum/drool/spit up and pony tails. It's amazing how much they find you beautiful, even if you feel like you look awful!

Big hugs.
I have been working on a mommy makeover for myself for the past couple of weeks.
I recently went on a shopping spree with the sales at Ann Taylor, and I updated my maternity clothes with some sexy mommy clothes (I wanted to look good for Aidan's 1st birthday party). It was a lot of fun. And I got my haircut at Gene Juarez, my brows done at Nordstrom. And then this past weekend, I went to the Mac counter at Nordstrom, and they gave me suggestions on eye makeup--so more fun makeup--and then I got some nice lipstick at the Clarins counter. I think this summer is going to be a treat myself to fun makeup at the different makeup counters at Nordstrom as well as keep updating my wardrobe at Ann Taylor.
Sorry you feel that way - but I too think you looked great last time I saw you. It sucks when you remember what you were like before baby - I know for me that's my hangup. I just tell myself to compare what I looked like right after childbirth and I feel better
And my experience with my DH is he's so excited for alone time he doesn't even notice all the crap I'm hating about myself.
