..that you run into your old elementary school teacher at your RE's office?! How incredibly small this world really is. I was so shocked I didn't say anything Zip it!

It was just really weird and thought I'd share.

This is kind of my nightmare. I would hate seeing anyone I knew at the RE.

Wouldn't your elementary school teacher really be quite a bit older now? I can't imagine being surrounded by other people's children all the time and dealing with that battle for so long, which is part of the reason I'm not teaching anymore.

I ran into my 3rd grade teacher at a wedding and he and his wife said how happy they were I said hi, because they never could have children of their own.

She definitely didn't see me and she didn't look that much older than I remember lol If she was fresh out of college at 22 then she'd be mid 30's. Part of the reason I didn't say anything is cause I thought it would be weird..

I don't blame you for feeling that way, I do too. Hopefully none of us will have to feel that way for very much longer!

I ran into my best friend from high school at the RE's office. We moved in together after high school and had a huge falling out over a guy she was dating. When I moved out we stopped talking.

She ended up getting pregnant a year or two later (same guy) and had a ectopic pregnancy. She lost one of her tubes. I knew all about it cause I ran into her mother when it happened but I never thought I would see her at the RE's office.

She is now married (different guy) and having troubles. It turned out to be a good thing that I ran into her. We now stay in touch.

My RE is in a larger local woman's hospital so there is always a good chance I could run into someone I know. It's been my H and I's biggest fear.

I always fear running into someone I know at the RE's office, it would be so awkward. But then again, it might be a good thing, I'd then have someone IRL that could wholeheartedly relate to what I'm going through.

Wow! That is pretty impressive.

So far I've seen another teacher from my district there, and I just pretended to keep reading on my Kindle rather than start up some awkward conversation. I think we both pretended it didn't happen. We don't teach at the same building, so that's a plus. Also, a girl I was friends with in middle school filled my Clomid prescription. Awkward.
