I'm a combo - I'm home with DD until September, when she'll be 5.5 months. Then it'll hopefully be a mix of DH, myself, family members and maybe a private babysitter here and there when I go back to work P/T.
I voted SS because I WAHM 4 days a week and DH works nights, so he's here to help most of the day too. When we need a babysitter we'll likely call my mom.

I said SS. I just went back to work yesterday. I'm a teacher, and there are 5 weeks of school left. Between now and the end of the school year, our relatives are taking turns taking time off from work to watch him. My mom took 2 weeks, my MIL and FIL each took a week, and my dad is retired so he will fill in when needed.
At the end of June, I'll be off for summer so I'll be with DS all the time. My teaching contract ends in June so I don't have a teaching job lined up for fall yet. If I find something full time we'll probably do a day care but if it's part time I might hire a babysitter a few days a week and have my dad watch him the other days.

I've been surprised at how many people have said in posts lately that a family member is watching LO. DH and I have a TON of family nearby, but most everyone has a full time job. And those that don't work, don't WANT to work, especially caring for an infant. Our DD will be in daycare - glad to see we're not the only ones!
I voted SS because I don't consider myself a SAHM since i'll be returning to work when the next school year starts. I guess technically I am for now, but DS will be going to daycare in teh fall.
I voted SS. I work 9-5 and my husband works second shift so he's with the girls all morning and my parents come in the afternoon from about 2pm until I get home at 5:30.
Re: Who's watching your kiddo (clicky poll)?
:Blog:
I never had a babysitter or went to daycare as a child, if for some reason Mom needed to go somewhere, my brother and I stayed with a family member.
That's how I want it to be with our children. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but we're going to give it our best shot.

Interesting poll - thanks for posting!
