I'm on Day 16 of the 30DS and really loving it so far. I'm down 5lbs as of today and a lots of inches. I committed (to myself) to do it every single day from May 2-31 doing each level for 10 days. The problem is this - my knees are taking a beating on L2 right now. I'm doing the modified moves, but feeling like I'm having to do a less intense version of some moves - not because of my cardio or strength - but because they are so hard on the knees.
I'm thinking of moving into L3 early. At least that way I'll get a better workout overall even with modifying the high knee impact moves.
Did anyone else have this issue??

It's a great workout, but for anyone that has any issues at all with their knees - I would say 'skip it'. I've been very active in the past... running, weight lifting, sports like rugby... and I've never had so much knee pain.

It's entirely possible that it may not be the knees that is the actual problem and might be your hips instead and it may be your knees that are what's showing the symptoms in the chain. Best thing to do, link up with a good chiropractor or PT for a session or two. My hips pop out of alignment super easy and when they do it usually pops my knee-cap with it... It's all connected - just might not be what you initially suspected...
