I have 11 days until DD, which I am hoping this kid makes an arrival before Monday! MD already discussed the posibility of a repeat C/S due to his possible size of 8lbs and 12 oz (which they can be wrong, however he does feel bigger than DD). If so I am asking for a C/S on Sunday May 22nd. I really want a VBAC. Thursday is my MD appointment to find out, hopefully something is going on down there!
Walking is no fun. I get once in a while shooting crotch kicks that stop me in my tracks, baby isn't super active (cause he's being crushed) and I feel like he's dropped or stretched out. He's head down although yesterday he felt transverse. I think I pee every 20 minutes, which sucks.
Hurry baby come out easy, lol because chasing a 3.5 year old around pregnant isn't fun, lol
Updates: I am feeling GREAT! I thought I was doomed to have morning sickness, stomach pain, and nausea for months. So depressing and awful. It was like a switch turned on last week, and I almost feel like myself again . YAAAYY!!
QOTW: I am enjoying the old wives tales about girl babies and their mothers craving fruit, sweets and having lots of nausea. I don't know if any of this is true, but we will find out in two weeks when I have my anatomy scan.
Well, Like Mrs_M, I too, have 11 days left. I am also hoping that this weekend will be D day! But, I feel like I could be pregnant for another 3 months. The crotch shots are ri-donk-u-lous! and I could feel her hiccups in my butt today. Lovely. She seems to be moving around a lot and it is starting to get painful. And annoying. I have this obsession with cleaning the house every morning. Just in case today is the day and someone needs to come into the place while we are at the hospital to walk the dogs. I don't want the house being a distaster. I am the same way with my hair. It takes me about 40 minutes to blow it out and I usually only do it every few days. Pregnancy made my hair super curly. But I don't want to end up in the hospital with crappy hair. Oh the important things!! LOL
I am betting everything I have on the full moon baby spike. As well as the one about more babies being born on Tuesdays...... OH, If only!

Updates: Had my GTT yesterday, still waiting for the results....called the docs office but no call back, I have an appt tomorrow with him but would be nice to know the results today. I hate waiting and I know darn well he has them sitting on a desk somewhere and no one has called me yet!
Other than that I feel good and just wish it would stop raining here so I can get back outside and walk!
I think my hormones are messing with my moods again, boo. My energy level is still good, no swelling, I am feeling physically fine... but dayum, I am getting some nasty, unexplained grouchy spells. Maybe it's because we haven't prepared everything for the new baby yet? We were aiming for buying all the stuff at 30 weeks (almost there) and setting it up by 35 weeks. There really isn't all that much to do, since we have Margaux already, but I find myself trying to optimize the house anyway.
Oh, and I don't have GD, thank goodness. I am still irritated that I had to take the three hour.
I'm afraid I don't know any old wives' tales or any pregnancy myths. I know, lame.
Here's a possible question for a future week - How's your SO (or family, if you are going solo) handling the pregnancy? Is he or she a shining beacon of helpfulness, completely passive, or somewhere in the middle?

Feeling pretty good (having a bad day but it's not the norm). Tummy/Baby are getting big. Only 7 weeks left though so I'm pretty sure I'm going to make it
I think that heartburn=hair might be true (true with my first 2, heartburn free so far, we'll see if Twerp is bald or not!). I also think that belly shape = gender (round=boy, oval/football=girl). otherwise I think they're all possible and just kind of fun!
Feeling about he same, tired and bloated. Some day I have more energy, sleeping is getting interrupted a lot more with having to pee or just not comfortable. Heartburn is still on going, but now when I do too much I get kinda dizzy/shaky type of feeling.
QOTW- I'm hoping the old wives tale about heartburn and hair is true, it gives me something to look forward too. Although come to think of it I had heart burn with the other 4 kids just not as bad as this time around and they all had hair.
Have been feeling so exhausted this week. I hit the 34 week mark today so I'm pretty excited about that.
No old wives tales that I could thing ring true.
I am doing better than last week. My poison ivy is finally getting under control.. I had to take pregnisone(sp) to get it there. It was oozing so much. I am going to stop the steriods early. They are a class c. We had a good anatomy ultrasound last week. We are having a boy so we will have 2 boys. The placenta is partially covering the cervix. I am hoping it moves up. They will recheck at week 34.
QOTD: I have no wives tales to say are true.
feeling pretty good. most nausea is gone. boobs still hurt like hell. CVS is scheduled for 5/31.

Kind of fun? i totally believe the whole 'way' you carry can indicate the gender. all belly - boy, all over - girl. i also believe that there is more morning sickness with girls, but that isn't an old wives tale any more ... it's been proven by science!

I'm Denise (Clipingirl). Due date is 11/3/11 but having a CS in mid-Oct. We will find out sex on June 6 (I'm so excited)!
I am feeling so much better 2nd tri than first. Night and Day. Although lately I've been feeling cooped up and the weather has been horrid to go walking/hiking. Still have to pee all the time, and eating way too many snacks and sweets (I'm sure that will be my work at the end of this journey...weight watchers here I come!!!)!! But am SO enjoying this pregnancy. Even allergies have gotten better. Acne on my chest is still horrible. Overall, no complaints.
I LOVE THIS BOARD! Thanks to everyone for being so supportive. Such a great community to be a part of!
Updates:
Nothing to report, so that's good news in my book. Finally starting to show a little bit, although more like 3 months than 6. Feeling great and enjoying all the action I get from the little girl. Sarah is starting to understand that there is a baby in mama's belly, it's a lot of fun.
QOTW:
All the tales are wrong for me - no cravings, no nausea and really not a lot of belly although it's a girl. I still think they are fun.
Doc thinks baby is laying on a nerve on top of my placenta laying across the top of the cervix. /sigh... Got a script for magnesium increase and 2 weeks of bed rest. Well, couch rest with a lap top, a stack of books and a whole lot of DVDs (AFN sucks).
Hmmm....I think the only "old wives tale" I am currently applying is "don't speak it to keep it at bay" I know what the note said to get me on bed rest (con leave) but I refuse to say the word...
I just missed being a new May mommy, but I do still need to be moved off the list.
I'm down for a due date of May 08 but Raymond Clifford arrived on April 30.
Afraid I steered clear of all OWTs so nothing to contribute there.
Updates: Feeling better today .. Monday, me & my grumpiness stayed home. Tuesday had an OB appt & was prescribed Glyburin (sp) b/c my fasting a.m.sugar readings are too high in her opinion. She also informed me that I will be induced a week prior to my due date (7/17) due to my hypertension (which is stable) & GD (to avoid a 'big' baby). Of course, I could still go into labor on my own, which I really prefer.
QOTW: Can't think at the moment, but I find they fun(ny).

Like LauraLynne I believe in the heartburn = hair tale. I had bad heartburn in the 3rd Tri with DD and she was born with a ton of hair. I'm having heartburn already with this pregnancy so we'll see if I get another hairy baby.

Update: I am feeling well, even though I can't wait to be done. Had an u/s today. Baby consistently measures 2 weeks ahead. Other than that everything looks good. And the baby has a lot of hair! That was kind a weird to me to see it on the u/s.
QQTW: I don't know many wives tales. But, I am expecting a boy, carying low. Had MS in the first Tri. And I am mostly belly.
