Cloth Diapering

What works best for you at night?

I am pretty new to cloth diapering - I started out using gDiapers with the cloth insert which works okay but then I started using BumGenius diapers and I love them much more.

I haven't started using cloth diapers at night because I'm afraid of leaks ... which diapers work best at night for you?  And do you always double stuff?

 Thanks!!

  • We use fitteds and wool at night. Works like a charm. Even if DD has an extra feeding we don't have leaks. She rolls around and still no leaks. There are many fitteds you can look into. For wool, thick interlock like Wild Child Woolies work for us.

  • I'm using an overnight Monkey Snuggles (fitted) with a wool soaker (the one in the picture!)

Never have leaks since I switched to overnights.

  • An insert folded into a prefold with a wool cover works great for us.

  • Twinkie Tush fitteds with either wool or a PUL cover.

  • We have the best luck with sbish + wool, but Kawaii overnights with microfiber + hemp work for us too.

  • I have used gDiapers at night for the last 6 months or so and have had some leaks.  It has been trial and error.  What works best for them is folding a gCloth insert in half and sticking it in the front with a biodegradable insert on top.  I am sure you could do the same thing with an extra gCloth on top.  using the one folded underneath makes it so the entire diaper isn't as bulky as it could be.
