Just venting.

The other day as I'm in the middle of dinner (water boiling, hands covered in raw chicken juice),  DH comes in freaking out b/c DS had spit up on him a little bit.  DH says "I need your help!  Take him!"  Seriously?  Who does he think I pass DS off to when I'm at home alone during the day?

    I just would say "honey I have my hands full right now with dinner. The burp rags are in his middle drawer in the room or you can use that cleaning rag over there. It's ok, babies spit up...he is fine". Like pp poster said he soon realized that I get spit up on all day and just learned to wipe it off and go on about his day.

    I know. I love how that works- if I ever leave DD with DH, it is always worse for him. He always thinks she does things differently and that she is harder for him to take care of. Instead of hearing that, it sure would be nice to hear, "Wow, I didn't know what you go through every day. I really appreciate you taking care of our daughter- she is a handful." Nope, instead she is just a "more difficult child" when DH has her.

    Wow, I am so bitter, hormonal and grumpy lately. I can't wait to have this baby so my hormones go back to normal! They better go back to normal because I can't even stand myself right now.

    DH and I have talked about this stuff, too.  He's in the other room, so he asks me to bring him something.  He walks in with LO while I'm cooking and asks me to wash his hands.  I just say, "honey, can you please do it; I'm in the middle of something."
    Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.

    Lol, I would have just looked at him with a straight face and said, "You have a little something on your shirt" while making a slight motion to it and then turned back to the food prep.
