After D & C question

I know all bodies are different but I am wondering how long it took for you to have your first period after your D & C. The doctor said it could be anywhere from 4-8 weeks and I am at week 6 now.

 We are hoping to start trying within the next month or 2 but the doctor also said to wait 1-2 cycles before doing so. What did your doctors tell you?

 I have had a lot of ups and downs with this whole situation and good days and bad days. I just want to get my body back to normal.

    I am in your exact same boat and it's making me feel so helpless.  I am almost 6 weeks post-D & C without a period too.  I called my doctor last week and she said if I get to 8 weeks without a period, that she would put me on Provera to start it.

    Here's hoping AF shows soon for both of us, it makes everything so much worse when you feel like you can't get back to normal and back to trying (which my Dr. said we could do as soon as I get that stupid first period!)

    i just got mine and had mine on 4/7. on the TTCAL board there is a blog with a survey of how long it took for people to get their periods after a loss. i hope you get yours soon

    Married 11/27/09 and TTC right away
    Dx: Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication, endometrial polyps, PCOS, endometriosis, hypo thyroid, luteal phase defect
    4 uterus surgeries to correct my complete septum and to remove polyps and 2 years of seeing the RE, medicated cycles and IUIs
    Baby 1 and 2: BFP 3/3/11 with 2 babies EDD 11/1/11, M/C 4/6/11
    Baby #3: 8/11 pregnant EDD 4/27/11 and m/c:(
    Baby #4: 10/12/11 BFP! EDD 6/16/12m/c 10/26/11
    Baby #5: 3/13/12 BFP! EDD 11/25/12 ANOTHER m/c :(

    Baby #6: 2/14/13- BFP! EDD 10/24/13, CP 2/19/13
    Baby #7: 3/15/13- BFP! EDD 11/27/13, another CP
    Baby #8.  BFP 5/19/13 EDD 1/22/14. 8 was not our lucky number

    4th septum resection on 5/31/13.
    Baby #9: 6/29/13 BFP. C section scheduled for March 5th!

    My miracle baby was born March 5 at 9:33am. He was 8 lbs 12.5 oz and 21.25 inches long!

    I feel like the waiting is the worst part.  We are still working through the loss but I think being able to try again will help.  But I totally understand how you feel... I just feel like you are waiting and not able to do anything.  We are 3 weeks post D&C and I started using my CBE Fertility monitor right after and it said I ovulated on day 10.  This is early for me and I wonder if it was really ovulation and when AF will come but again I hate the waiting game.
