Baby girl is hanging out breech/transverse. She seems to be changing positions pretty often still and the dr says that thanks to my stretched out uterus, she still has room to go head down..... but just in case she doesn't - Any tips for getting her to turn?
I'd love if anyone has reccs to local chiropractors or acupuncturists that specialize in this. I've checked out the spinning babies website, but am not having much luck with getting the pages to load.
I was able to deliver my twins vaginally (including a breech baby b!) and am really hoping to do the same this time!!
Re: Turning breech baby head down
lol at ass moose! I was actually hoping you'd respond because I remembered that you had an external version. My doctor mentioned that she would try it if necessary and I'm totally open to it if it means avoiding surgery!!
Can you tell me about your experience? How far along were you when it was done? (they wait until you are full term right?)
Yup! It was done at 37 weeks the actual version part took about 30 seconds and was completely painless! I would talk to your dr and find out how many s/he has done in the past. With mine I was monitored the whole time via ultrasound and then I stayed at the hospital for an hour or two after the version was completed to make sure it didnt kick start labor. People will try and scare you, but the risks involved are really minimal and usually they are just that your water breaks, or there is a cord issue and they have to deliver you immediately via c-section. Since my options were C-section or Version with a small chance of emergency C-section it only made sense, to me, to give it a try. If you end up going with the version, and you want it, I can give you more info on what to expect. Hopefully your baby will turn on its own though!

is my savior! He did accupunture and moxibustion to turn my little guy! We successfully turned him and kept him turned around 35 weeks (had him at 38)
Go to him, he rocks!
My baby was transverse and I nearly had to have a verison. In fact, I was sitting in the hospital getting all greased up for the procedure when they did one more ultrasound and saw that he'd flipped!
Along with several snot-nosed prayers to God, I also believe that I went to Dr. Sarah Gibson at Queen Anne Chiropractic who is certified in the Webster technique that helps loosen the round ligaments. (https://www.queenannechiro.com/)
I did a total of 3 visits before my baby flipped.
Dr. James Myers in Redmond was the only eastside chiro I found that had experience with turning breech babies. My doula also had some tricks up her sleeve, and I spent a lot of time watching tv and reading with my butt in the air
Unfortunately, we didn't find out about breech until late and I had low fluid, but I'm still glad I tried all the above just to see if it would work! My doc wouldn't do a version but that's also always an option. Good luck!
Oh thank you! I live and work in Redmond so I'm going to give him a call today. Worth a shot right?
