On Sunday I wrote about having a raised temp. (only 99.6) so I've been watching it. Today it's 100.7 so I'm taking tylenol and worried about it going up. I was lucky and never had to take it last pregnancy. Do you take the full dose (2 regular strength)? I'm only 5 weeks, so I'm nervous about taking anything. Would 1 pill be enough?
Thanks for your patience
Re: Question about Tylenol
100.7 isn't really even a fever. Unless I felt sick, I wouldn't take anything, but I do know that Tylenol is safe for pregnancy. Why don't you give your OB a call and ask them what they think you should do?
Thanks. I do plan to call, but they're not open yet.
I'm also a teacher so I won't have a break to call them until 10ish so I figured I might find some advice here in the meantime.
I've felt achy and sick all week, but I figured it was just allergies, a cold ... being pregnant.
I am a teacher too. Fortunately, my first 2 classes are taking a state Biology assesment so I am off all morning
I would call your OB. They usually want to hear from you if your temp is over 100.3. It is safe to take either extra strength or regular Tylenol in pregnancy. Make sure you read the label and take them as directed. I *think* you can take 2 extra strength every 6 hours verses 2 regular tabs every 4 hours. I don?t have the bottles in front of me, but I know that the directions are different. I would take the full directed dose.
