I always get him a round of golf in Eastern WA because he goes for a few days during July for a tournament. And of course a couple cards from the boys.
I'm getting hiim the "Go the Fck to Sleep" book, a card from the girls and he gets to sleep in.
Which is basically just his normal Sunday except he gets a book and a card.
Unable to even.

I'm giving him the Ok to go ahead and buy the new surround sound system he has been wanting so we won't have speakers where J can grab them once he starts crawling ; )
He's working downtown now and has been borrowing my dad's Kindle for the bus rides. He stole my idea and got me one for mother's day, but I know he still really wants one and its easy so that's what he's getting!
He also just bought himself a very expensive BBQ last week so Happy Father's Day to him!
I got bath stuff from DH for Mother's Day (lame), so I'm thinking a GC to Home Depot is a fair trade.
I agree, fair trade.
Dh got me a TV (woo hoo, like i care) so I'm getting him a cable box so I can DVR my shows on my new TV that he watches more than me.
haha, PERFECT!
I'm going the opposite direction. I'm working for an awesome Father's Day so he feels extra-guilty for making Mother's Day suck (and to set the standard for what I'd like next year). He's getting:
1) homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast and coffee delivered
2) subscription to his favorite magazine (it never goes on sale and is like $30 for 8 issues)
3) new summer-weight motorcycle gloves
4) an "I love Daddy" sleeper on the baby
5) his favorite lasagna for dinner, which I almost never make
Exactly what he wanted...a giant dust collector for his shop (partly a birthday gift, too.) We went to pick it up today and it's already installed. Now he can finish *my* birthday present that he's building without inhaling tons of sawdust!

I need to do this too. Time to start brainstorming.
Did you ever read that book, Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus? It says--and I totally believe this is true--that when a woman does something nice for a man, she thinks that she's racking up goodwill so that he will do somthing nice in return. But the man think about it from the opposite perspecitive: if a woman does something nice for him, he assumes that he has already earned it.
(I had a totally crappy Mother's Day two years in a row. Trying to make him feel guilty by being nice won't work. Crying does.)

Oh, I did cry! I stormed around a fair amount, too, though I'm not sure if I'm proud of that behavior. This is more to rub it in.
Re: It's that time of year again, Father's Day gifts??
GAH! Stupid PIP isn't working.

Well, DH got a smoker last year..but this year we've sunk all our spare money into the remodel.
So he'll probably get to sleep in and get dinner and a card. Maybe I'll shove him out of the house for a guy's night the day before or something.
