I have to share another prom dress pic

This is the niece of a woman I used to work with. I cannot get over this dress, I think my parents would be horrified at this dress even if I wore it at my age! I know I am so old-fashioned and over the hill, but this dress seems inappropriate to me for anyone, much less a high school girl, unless you're appearing in a Vegas act.

To be honest, I don't even think a stripper would wear that dress. WTF went wrong with the production line that day? I mean, I've seen skanky dresses, but that's just ridiculous.

That is, of course, unless anyone here owns it, then it's just delightful......

I just don't get it. What is the deal with the cut-outs?! They aren't fashionable and I agree, not at all age appropriate. I just can't wait to see what's "in style" by the time DD starts going to dances...shudder.

Thanks Kat, I own this, the cut-outs make room for my love handles to hang out! LOL! In all seriousness, that is absolutely ridiculous and the parents need to be smacked upside the head for letting her wear that!

Ugh, it's not even the skankiness of it (undeniable), but it is just so UGLY. The colors, the decorative thing in the middle, just everything...like a clown threw up. I can understand wanting to show off your body, maybe, but why pick a dress with a thousand ugly colors?

I showed it to Chris and he said, "First of all, it's a fashion nightmare. The only place she should wear that dress is during a rumba routine on So You Think You Can Dance." That's my straight husband.

I don't get this fad of the cut-out dress. I came to age in the show your belly button era, but that seems June Cleaver compared to this. Plus the pattern = ick.

Here's what gets me about the link to the dress you posted. If that model is in high school, as she should be since it's advertised as a PROM DRESS, I'm a monkey's uncle. There is no way she's high school age. I just don't understand the need to show all that skin at such a tender age!

I don't get why looking feminine has to end up being slutty. Girls today are totally confused by this.

Last week the senior girls "dressed up" for their last day and OMG the dress code infractions. My eyes were burning from all of the clevage, short shorts, and skin tight clothing.

One girl came in wearing something similar to this only with a black belt and stripper heels and said she looked "classy" and would definitely wear it to an interview. Needless to say the boys in my class were totally blushing.
