  • Good question. I would like to add "How do you sterilize them" as well, if that's okay!
  • I rinse them out with warm water and then boil them.  I find it easier then washing by hand and then I know for sure they are clean.  I just boil them in a big stock pot so its not a big deal.

  • Once a week or so. I have a microwave sterilizer I have yet to use. Mostly, I boil them in a pot. I have some microwave bag sterilizers I should use too :)

  • You're supposed to sterilize bottles?  I boiled them before the first time we used them, but now I just wash them with soap and hot water and let them drip dry.  I thought that's what the bottle packaging said to do...

  • I don't sterilize them.

They go through the dishwasher, or they're washed with hot, soapy water.

My understanding is that this is sufficient for a full term baby without any health conditions.

  • We sterilize the bottles we used for the day every night after we wash them. I personally just feel like it is so much easier to clean them that way. Just like everyone else we just use a pot and boil them for ten minutes. Super easy!

  • At the end of the day every day - but we have a microwave one and it's super easy to use. We use the dishwasher for them every couple weeks or so.

So you don't have to wash them with soap if you boil them?

  • I use drop-ins, so I put the nipples in a steam bag everynight to clean them. I rinse out the holder since it can't get that hot. When I use Avent bottles, I had the micowave sterilizer and loved it. It was really easy.

  • I sterilize about once a week.  I can't get all of them in there, so when possible, I will run through the dishwasher too.
