I have to stop wearing the three pairs of maternity pants that I've been wearing. Happily they don't fit and I'm constantly pulling them up. It's time to retire the pants, I'm back to the pp weight but like so many of you have found out or will find out the shape just isn't the same.
So today I took my Kohls pants and just went up a size from before I was pregnant and now I've got a pair of pants that fit. I don't care what the label says even if in a former life these would have been deemed my fat pants. They look good and for the clearance price of $16 minus the $10 cash for $6 I'm wearing them every single day until I'm can walk my way into a smaller size.
It really does feel good to be in a pair of pants that fit properly and I'm the only one who knows what the tag says ![]()
Re: Used my Kohls cash to buy formerly fat pants
im glad summer is coming up - i live in skirts during the summer.
but once fall hits - i do need new jeans too! im also back at PP weight and my old jeans are just not the same
though crazy - i love my new shape more than i did my PP shape...
If I were to every get implants I would want my boobs when they are filled with milk size - I love them like that
DH is as well a fan.
I agree though I do like my shape now, it's more of a womanly shape after giving birth.
I was a size 4 pre-pg, and I recently broke down and bought size 16 jeans! (I swear it's because I'm 5'1"--5 lbs equals a clothing size on me.) They're pretty loose, but that's the size it took to not drive me crazy making my c-section incision tingle.
It looks like a nice day, so I'm hoping to walk the riverwalk with Liam. Maybe I'll soon be in the size 12 jeans I got before I got the maternity ones.
Hugs, Ladies!

I went downstairs to nurse at my video producer friend's party Saturday night, and he joked that I should do it in his studio window to bring him more business (His club's in a storefront on Main Street.) Then when I told him they're 40E's, he actually looked scared :-) Poor kid. He's 24, so I like to traumatize him like a younger brother.

YES! I am only 5', and even though I was overweight before I was pregnant (about a size 12) I had to buy an 18 just to not hurt my csection incision too! It doesn't help that all my pants before sat on my hips so it hit RIGHT where my incision is. Sigh, I DO, however, feel much better in normal pants than I did in my maternity jeans. All of my summer dresses fit me, but I don't like my belly in them =(
I tried to buy a pair of shorts at Old Navy yesterday, but it was too depressing. I only have one pair of pants that fit me, and they are maternity jeans. I want to weigh less than I did pre-pregnancy (I gained weight the summer I got pregnant), and at that point I was wearing a size 8/10. I tried on a 12 at ON, and it wasn't even close to buttoning. The 14s just looked so huge on the hanger, I couldn't bring myself to try them on.
I'll probably attempt to go shopping again in a few weeks.
ETA: I'm 5'4. I realized a lot of you put your height.
Thank you! I should pay you for therapy this week! It helps to know I'm not the only one. When I look in the mirror, *I* don't think I look that different, but the pants size freaked me out at first.

Right there with you, except I was a size 12 pre-pregnancy, so now I'm looking at size 20s!
ugh......
Same boat! I'm back to PP as well. My pants "fit" but the muffin top/tire that is hanging out is horrible and I will not wear my pants like that! I know it will get better.
I just ordered 4 pairs of yoga pants from old navy. 2 different pairs in lg and XL. I hope that xl fits now and later this summer the lg will fit. I know I have scrubs for work that fit when I have to go back but I have a wedding this weekend and have to find something for that and the 5 others this summer!
