Hey Ladies!
I'm so excited we already have this baby named (Amberle Marion or Simon Benjamin) but I'm still thinking about names all the time so tell me...
1 name you love, and 1 you hate.
I love the name Pamela, I used to always name my dolls this when I was a little girl but will probably never use it, because I'm not a fan of the NN: Pam.
I hate the name Penelope, this is going to sound bad, but it's my Mom's name and I haven't talked to her for 7 years. so I just have a bad association with it.
you can do boy/girl or 1 each for boy and girl names... and Go!
Re: GTKY: All Fruits! Come Play!
We have our names too! Isla Jude for a girl or Jude Bennett for a boy (the boy name has waivered)--Jude is in honor of my MIL who died when DH was 16
Names I LOVE: Leo, Gemma
Name(s) I HATE: Anything of the -ayden trend, Nevaeh
LOVE Katarzyna, but wouldn't use it because it is hard to pronounce. I also like Robert a lot, but it is FIL's name, and I don't want him to think it is after him.
Hate all -ayden names for boys, and anything spelled youneek. Hate Nevaeh for girls...
Simon is a great name!
and Penelope is my mom's name too (both her and I don't like the name) And you could always nickname a Pamela, "Ella".
for a girl I love the name Violet, Hate the name Bridget.
for a boy I love Everett, hate hate hate Brody.
you are an evil genius!
I love the Elle, Ellie, Ella sound, which is probably why I already have a Michelle
LOVE -
Kyla, Laila, and Amerie
HATE-
Naveah
Names I love: Charlotte and Alexander
Names I hate: Madison and Hunter
I actually love the name Penelope. (H isn't so sure about it) and Benjamin
Hate - like PP said all "aden" names and pretty much every other trendy name. (I've always wanted to name my kid something so she had the nn "ella" but it got so trendy I now dislike it. )

Love:
Emma, Brelynn, Shelby
Bentley, Easton, Liam
Hate:
Gabby, Cadance
I'm not ready to narrow down names yet
Love, but would never use: Gavin and Michaela
Popular but I can't stand: Oliver and Abigail
I think we have our names picked out too. Tanner Lee (Lee is a family name), and Adelyn Rae. I wasn't too sure about Adelyn because it's gotten a bit popular lately but DH is in love with it and its hard to say no to that lol. (It also goes well with our last name, which is hard to do).
I love the name Bella, but before Twilight came out and now I can't believe how popular it is! I would never use it. I also don't like Nevaeh. I don't do trendy well.
Love Coraline, Laney, Gabrielle for girls
Love Cooper, Tucker, Grant for boys
HATE Laura, Brittney, Ashley
Boys Brayden, Hayden, Andrew
Like:
Jameson, Keaton, Kenley, Harper
Dislike
Andrew, Jacob, Emma, Mia

I really like Katie and Alexander.
I don't like Nevaeh, Gunner and Cash.
Names I love - Eloise, Preston, Luca
Names I hate - Neveah (actually just met some with that name) most names when the I has been replaced with Y and pretty much all of the ayden trend
We are trying our best to avoid anything in the top 100, I jsut don't want my child to be the next 'Jen' (not that it's a terrible name just too popular)
DS's name is Milan (Gaelic pronounciation My-Lan after his G-Grandfather) and we like that it's pretty uncommon and that was the draw.
Hate: Liam, Olivia
Love: Felicity, Leonardo (DH has vetoed both)
Breastfeeding and pregnant!
Love: Violet and Harry
Hate: anything -aden, any name with an unnecessary "y," youneek spellings, -son names, the Ad- trend for girls (except for Adele, I like that!)

Like others of you, I am a teacher and have been teaching middle school for 10 years, so I end up having a lot of name associations.
Love: Audrey, Olivia, Aiden (sorry for all you that don't like the -ayden names, but I'm not offended - to each her own), Gavin
Not so fond of: Victoria, and pretty much any J name.
Names I love: Traditional names- James, Patrick, Sara, Leah, Julia
Names I hate: Youneek names, names that will keep LO from pursuing any career (e.g., their resume will get laughed into the trashcan at a Big 4 Firm), names that are too romance-novely (Scarlett, Tristan).
I love the name Adele, but it was my Grandmother's name so I've always been a little partial to it. I've been thinking of that as a middle name for years.
Hate is a little strong, but I'm not a fan of all of the Haileys, Madyson/Adysons, Taylors, Sydneys, etc. for girls just because of the sheer volume.
For boys I have to agree with the "ayden" names being a little over done.
I LOVE the name Mabel! It doesn't fit with our last name though. BOO!
I hate TIffany and anything else too girly (including my own name....)
For boys, I love Benjamin & hate the name John.
I love uncommon names. Piper, Corbin.. etc.
I hate popular names.. Jen, Sara, Ashley, Brayden..etc.
Also, I ablsolutely hate names with horrible nicknames.. aka Wayne (wiener) Richard (***) etc. I think it is just cruel!
I love the name Charlotte! Also Sydney, Athena, and Aubrey.
I love the names Robert, James and Jacob.
Hate-Michael, Dawn, Melody, Richard
If we have a boy his name will be Robert. We are still debating on a girls name. So far DH has said no to Charlotte, Aubrey, and James.
