When a docor us tech ask how many pregnancies u have had does that mean full term? i had a m/c at 8wks 4 days a lil over 2 months ago do i say this is my 2nd?
I usually just explain that i have had 2 losses and this is my 3rd pregnancy. It takes a couple of more seconds to say out loud but I feel it is important for them to know.

I've had to fill out paperwork at pretty much every Dr. I've been to. It looks something like this:
Pregnancies
Live Births
Still Births
M/C
DD #1 born 9/07 ** DD #2 born 7/11 ** Operation Take Back My Body has begun 10/11 Upcoming Races Gobble Wobble 5K 11/24/11 - Abington, PA 29:40 Superbowl 10K 02/05/12 - Allentown, PA 54:28 PR!!!! My doctor asks it as a two part question...I'm not sure exactly how its worded, but something like: how many pregnancies/how many live births. They do it tactfully.

Doctors actually use a shorthand notation called GPA in your OB chart. It stands for Gravida/para/abortus. Gravida means number of pregancies. Para means number of viable births and abortus means number of pregnancies lost for any reason. So he wants to knows the number of times you've been pregnant regardless of the outcome.
I am using the same Dr as before, he delivered my DD so he is aware of my loss Unfortunately, the nurse that I had was a bimbo and asked about my DD's pregnancy and birth. Then, she started asking about this pregnancy and skipped over my m/c. I had to tell her that I had a m/c and asked if she saw it in my chart. She didn't then looked again and found it But yes, it is important part of your history.
I have short term memory loss. Do not take it personally if I do not remember you right away.
No longer trying to conceive at all.

Yes it is still your second pregnancy, even though it wasn't full term you were pregnant. If they just wanted to know full term they'd ask you how many times you've given birth. You can tell them you had a miscarriage. Most forms I've seen ask number of pregnancies, live births, and abortions. Medically they want to know even if it was an early loss.

Yep, mine asks a two part question. How many pregnancies (or if they remember me they say, this is your third, right?) and then they ask "how many children?" So my answers are always 3 and none.
They want to know how many times you've had a verified pregnancy. So my answer is 5, they have your records and know about the losses typically. It sucks to say 5 but that's the number.

Re: doc asks how many?
They want to know about m/c as well.
When I answer, I just say "This is my second pregnancy and hopefully my first take home baby. I had a first tri miscarriage last summer"

I counted the m/c.
I answered them with something to the effect of, "Second pregnancy. No kids at home." Usually they they ask about m/c and I give them the low down.
