Poll: Do you eat/drink food you buy specific for LOs?

Like - DS likes graham crackers (which we have never bought in the past), and we buy him fruit cups and Mac and Cheese cups if we need a fast and easy lunch (although not that healthy!).  Or cheese/cracker snacks for snacks in the diaper bag on the go.

Do you or DH eat those items?

I usually don't touch them - I am always afraid if I eat something, then we won't have one when DS needs one.  DH, however, I find snacking on all sorts of DS's stuff.  (He is the one that does most of the grocery shopping, so I really can't say anything!  lol).

  • we used to not to, but we've moved her more toward adult and kid friendly snacks. we don't eat her yogurt or cheerios, but the chicken nuggets, frozen waffles, cereal bars, goldfish and fruit cups are up for grabs.

  • Yes.  We don't really buy things just for DS though.  I will eat things like Vanilla Wafers, Graham Crackers, Gold Fish that I buy with DS in mind.
  • I just had one of Rena's organic fruit snacks that I keep in my purse. :) I was starving and had 45 more minutes until lunch. But I usually don't eat her snacks. DH loves to snack and always eats Rena's snacks. He's always hanging out in the pantry looking for stuff and that's Rena's cue to run in there with him since she'll get something good! :) I make him write down what we run out of since I never know when we need more!

  • I think this is the main reason DH wanted to have kids... so that we'll start having kid snacks in the house.

  • We do. We buy "house snack foods" that we know the kids will like and are primarily for them, but not off limits in any way for us.

  • I try not to because DS doesn't have a huge range of food he is eating right now. Last night I was tempted to eat one of his veggie burger patties, but knew he needed them for his lunches. I don't eat his yogurt, snack bars, or puffs, but I have been known to eat a mum-mum.  :-)

I cannot deny that we go through so many boxes of bunny crackers because I like to eat handfuls now and then!

  • I don't because the kids usually had their grubby hands in the bag and I have a double standard with that.  I don't mind them eating food with dirty hands but I'm not going to eat their dirty hand food.  DH could care less and chows down all the time.  I'm constantly telling him to stop eating all their snacks.
  • These are the kinds of snacks I buy for me anyway.  I eat about 3 fruit cups per day!
  • I am the worst about things like graham crackers and Teddy Grahams.  I will eat them all if no one stops me.
Dh is the culprit when it comes to their little yogurts and stuff like that.
