Sunday morning at around 3 am I woke up and was wet. I was groggy and out of it as I stumbled to the bathroom and realized I had soaked my panties and pajamas. I was having contractions but nothing timeable so I wasnt sure if this was it. I kept having these gushes of clear fluid, which turned out to be just very watery discharge, so I called the hospital and they said to come get checked out. I woke DF up and he was out of bed in a split second, rushing around trying to grab our bags and such. He was so highstrung and talking a mile a minute lol.
We got to the hospital, got checked in and observed some Maury-worthy drama in the waiting room that led to two girls getting in a fist fight. We got upstairs to a room to be checked out and was informed my water hadnt broken I had just peed myself like a 3 year old! Lovely! I was soo embarrased but my doctor assured me she'd rather me come in because I peed myself than to sit at home with my water broken. Where I drink so much water my pee is colorless and odorless so it made it that much harder to determine whether or not it was my water.
DF has been teasing me about it a good bit and I have to admit it is pretty funny. I feel like no Im going to be more paranoid about going to the hospital if it really is my water because I'll think I just peed myself again. I hope this baby shows up soon! lol

My doc warned me that it happens all the time - she told me if it happens to me to clean myself up and if I'm "bone dry" then I peed myself, if I'm still leaking it's my water. It's made me paranoid and while it hasn't happened yet - I've come close!
She told me one of her patients has come to L&D five times so far - she was so convinced that it was her water the last time, and not urine, that she brought her sheets and was yelling at the nurse "no - it's my water this time - I swear - smell!" while she was trying to stick her pissy sheets in the nurses's face as the nurse just kept backing up. The visual of that story still makes me laugh. You're not the only one ; )
