Reason #524,887 why BRU sucks!

My mom told me that her friend asked her where I was registered for shower. So, her friend went to BRU online and ordered several things off registry. Of course registry is not reflecting anything being purchased. These items were purchased over a week ago. It sucks that people could possibly buy me 3 of the same thing because the registry isn't updated. As a gift giver, I would hate to spend time buying and picking the gift I wanted to give only to get to the shower and have 2 other people give the same gift. Sure, I can return/exchange for something else, I think it's just crappy that it has to even be done this way.

I had that problem as well, but luckily didn't get any duplicates. My friend ordered stuff for me online and I had no clue until it arrived in the mail. My registry did not show that it was purchased.

Weird - I had a bunch of stuff purchased off my registry at BRU and it showed up on the list as "purchased" so people couldn't do it again. You can also update it yourself online if someone bought you something that you know about.

Luckily we only got 2 duplicates. But one was at BRU, they didnt update the registry but the gift givers were there the same day at the same time so they didnt have a chance to update it. We exchanged them no problems.

I have to update the registry myself everytime I get a gift.

I have a shower today with work friends and nothing new is showing up on my registry as purchased.

I had a bad experience with BRU as well and by the way...returning items is not so easy as they say, there are a lot of stupid rules for online purchases or in stores. I agree with you, not a good service at all.
