Cherry Hill Q's...

Hi ladies, I am from the Atlanta board but starting to do some homework for a potential move to Cherry Hill or surrounding areas.   My great aunt and uncle live in Cherry Hill/ Haddonfield, but they are in their late 80's and don't exactly have their finger on the pulse of young family needs.

Would you be able to give me any insights on what areas have the best schools, parks, etc?  What areas to avoid?  Thank you so much in advance!

  • I don't know TOO much about Jersey, but I love Haddonfield/Collingswood area. They have cute little downtowns and train stations to get you into Philly.

I usually go to Cherry Hill for shopping -- the mall, the BRU, BuyBuyBaby, Crate & Barrel, Etc.

  • Oh, yeah I guess I assume since Cherry Hill is so close to Philly it was best to ask this board.  Should I check in on the Jersey board too?
  • If there is a NJ/south Jersey board, it'd be best to ask there! Also, try the regular Philly and NJ nest boards. They're more active than this one. Good luck!

  • South Jersey has some great small towns.  Pretty much anywhere on the PATCO line Collingswood and beyond is good, but not as far as Lindenwold.  Be prepared for high taxes though.  Cherry Hill is not as high as Haddonfield.  I grew up in Haddon Heights, which has pretty high taxes, but again, not as high as Haddonfield, but the schools in Haddonfield are probably the best in Camden County.  I would do a drive around and see what feels right for you.  Cherry Hill is pretty big, so if you're looking for the small town feel, you won't get it there.  Good Luck.
