Interesting Food Article

We avoid almost everything mentioned, except the canned tomatoes, but those are next on my list!

ETA:  None of this is really shocking, but it is a good reminder about what is in our food.  One part that did surprise me, however, was that the organic food/milk and the grass-fed beef contain more vitamins and minerals than their counterparts.  I knew about the lack of "bad stuff", but didn't realize there was also an increase in "good stuff" when buying the better food.

  • We don't buy any of the things on that list. I'm also really picky about our beef and milk. We buy half a cow each year from a local farmer. It's organic (hormone free) and grass-fed. I also only buy organic milk for our family. We're hoping to find a farmer around here that offers high quality, free range chickens, too.

  • Wow! I buy almost everything from that list (canned tomatoes, bagged popcorn, non-organic potatoes and apples). I'm screwed! Tongue Tied I think I'll be switching.
