PCOS & Weight Loss - Diet Advice

Ok ladies I have PCOS and am having major trouble getting my eating regulated since DD.  Before getting pregnant I ate fairly decent low carb diet, but with the nausea the entire pregnancy I ate a lot of starchy things and now I can't stop.  Any advice I have to lose weight I need to lose about 30-40 lbs.

Also, any ladies in the Houston area - if so do have an endocrinologist recommendation?

Re: PCOS & Weight Loss - Diet Advice

  • Sart.org is a good place to start for a Dr rec.

I use Sparkpeople.com to track my meals and it makes it really easy to see where you can cut calories.  It's a free site.  You can follow one of their plans, or your own.  I always start by eating normally for a week and track it, then see where there are easy places to cut calories without missing them.  Then I slowly make more changes each week.

  • I lost 40lbs with PCOS right before I got pregnant and now I need to lose 30. I have been trying (sorta slacking lately) but I am starting Jillian's 30 day shred again tomorrow. I have a blog (link in siggy) if you want to follow me. What I have learned is taking sugar out of my diet and eating smaller meals more often helped before. But now that I am BF DS I just want to eat all the darn time!
