Diarrhea like stomach cramps? TMI

Anyone have this before?  Of course, I'm worried.  I'm feeling better now, but pretty much all afternoon I had pains like I had to go to the bathroom in the worst way, but when I would get there...nothing!  My stomach still feels a bit uneasy, but not as bad as it was hurting.  They weren't period like cramps, but more like "I'm going to have diarrhea" cramps.

  • I get that if I eat dairy when I am pregnant.  Same thing happened with DD #3.  Hope you get to feeling better!

  • I'm experiencing this right now. Tums helps uh..."empty the stomach."

Interesting about dairy. We had lasagna for supper tonight. I'll have to watch that.

  • I'd imagine it's something you ate or gas pains. I had McDonald's for dinner, so am having similar pains, but guessing I put myself in that position!

  • OK, this unscientific explanation is going to be TMI.

I have definitely had this.  Here is what I think has happened to me: I am stopped up because of Zofran and just the everyday joys of being pregnant.  Then I eat something my stomach doesn't like (usually dairy or protein) which causes the cramping and diarrhea.  Unfortunately, the previous problem prevents the latter from resolving itself. Usually this means I am in the bathroom for a long time.

This has happened to me twice and they have been the worst days by far. I have no solution for you other than patience and suffering. Sad
