First name for baby boy

So we are down to seven weeks and we have four choices. We are not even thinking about a middle name until we pick the first name!

  • I probably prefer Oliver, but I love Alistair too and it is far less common, which is nice. :)

  • I voted for Christopher. Caleb is nice too. I'm tired of Oliver and I don't see the appeal of Alistair at all, even though it's been all over this board lately.

  • I voted Caleb, but Alistair would be my second choice. The only reason Alistair isnt first is because of Alistair Crowley.

    LOVE Caleb!
  • I may be a little biased because my DS's name is Oliver. . . So that is what I vote for!

It is unique. . . and strong at the same time.  We also call him Ollie. . . and I love both!

  • Definitely Christopher! The other names are nice, just SO POPULAR! I can't think of anyone under the age of seven or eight (and I work in a day care) with that name. Caleb and Oliver on the other hand, are pretty popular.

Alastair is my favorite, but I have one.  ;)  I like Oliver but it's very popular here, as is Caleb.  I'm not a huge fan of Christopher, probably because I knew so many growing up, but there is nothing wrong with the name.

    All good choices.

  • Oliver!  I like Caleb as well.  Christopher & Alistair are NMS.

  • Definitely Alistair. It's gaining popularity but I doubt it will ever be as commonplace as Christopher (not that Christopher is a bad name, just WAY too popular and overused IMO). Alistair is a lovely name Smile
