Pregnant after a Loss

Baby shower Invite Question..

I'm looking at invites.. My mom asked me to send her some samples of what I'd like.. And I notice all of them have registry information on them.

Is it bad form to put the registry info on the invite? I don't know if I would include it..

Re: Baby shower Invite Question..

  • I don't think it's bad form, I've never received a baby shower invitation without registry info on the invite.

  • I've seen people put the info on the invite or put an insert inside that had where the person is registered. The whole point is to shower you with gifts so they kind of need to know where you are registered.

  • If someone else it throwing the shower for you, then it is expected. It's called a shower because they shower you with gifts.

It's bad form on a wedding invitation because, although they are expected, gifts shouldn't be expected.  Showers are different.

Thank you. I've seen them on all the invites.. and my friend said it was tacky to put it on there as your begging for gifts, so I wanted to find the offical rule on this before I break some, un written baby shower rule..lol

If you're throwing your own shower, that is bad form then. But if your family is throwing it for you, then it's fine.

  • No my mom just called to say she wants to throw one on my 32nd birthday in July. Which is pretty cool I'll be 32 weeks on that day. I'm just sending her ideas form esty.. (she's not very computer literate)
  • I would include it for sure......
